About John Mitchell
Veteran -Campfire survivor
John has 35 years of experience in the HVACR industry, from residential heating & A/C to custom wine cellars to commercial refrigeration. From service & repair, to design, engineering, installation, and consulting, he can handle your heating & cooling project from start to finish & beyond. A graduate of Oroville High School, John served honorably on a US Navy Repair Ship in the 1980's, upon discharge, he became a Residential HVAC apprentice. He went from working from a small residential shop, to getting his own contractor license at 26 & later working for a commercial refrigeration company specializing in wine cellars. For the past few years, he has worked at a residential heating & A/C company engineering, designing & overseeing projects. Working mostly in California, he has also worked on projects in Illinois, Florida, Nevada, Washington & even El Salvador! Since the Camp Fire took his home like so many of you reading this, he has rebuilt his home & wants to help others on the ridge achieve their dreams of rebuilding and having perfect comfort.
The PERSON
As stated above, John has longstanding connections to Butte County, having lived here off and on since 1976. He is a father of three, grandfather of one, and husband to wife Geannie for over 16 years.
A great sense of humor, attention to detail and love of his dogs are enduring qualities.
His hobbies and passions include auto racing, motorcycling, working on cars and motorcycles, California Gold Rush History, home improvement and family. His spare time and volunteer work have included working at the now defunct OroDam Raceway, Cycleland, Quarter Midgets of America (youth auto racing) United States Auto Club (Sanctioning body of Sprint and Midget racing) The USS Hector (AR-7) Association and preserving history with the Pair-O-Dice 7-11 branch of E Clampus Vitus.
